its not realy microsofts fault you have to understand the xbox back fired in a few ways if the red ring had never happend then we would have sony on their knees begging for mercy :swars:the whole design was faulty if you look at the Ps3 its a lil bigger and the top curves making easy for the fans to pull heat out while the 36o does the uposot its curves in and is smaller. They wanted the most power out of a sleek sexy white/black box. when you get it back get a small fan and put ur box horizontal and put the fan blowing into the bottom vent and if you want to go to the extreme purchase this http://www.koolance.com/water-cooling/product_info.php?product_id=328 $280 you lose ur warranty but I gurantee you you wont get the red ring EVER AGAIN but if something happens to you box besides for the fact of heat ur gone.Or you can open up the box and lay it on a hard surface and put a box fan on it may not be pretty but I survived with it over the summer but it had a old disc drive and the drive died Sad

ouch, my second one was lame, it was lime 1-2 months after i got it back the first time, and my friend came back for break and i was like 'hey, wana play haloz?' and he was like 'hellz yeah' and i turned it on and it redringed, it was really *** cus i hadent even turned it on in like a month
