it's not the text... it's the drop shadow behind the text. Makes the text look like it's smeared.

Just a suggestion, don't know if it would look good or not, but maybe something like a red border and red text? Something like those things where it's all black and white with one thing colored.

It's hard to do without the layers. It changes the black too when i do stuff.
